Mit dem Messzylinder Oechselgrade bestimmen

Mit dem Oechslegrad (Oe) wird der Zuckergehalt im Most (Mostgewicht) oder den Beeren bestimmt. Hierzu wir das Gewicht von einem Liter Most zu einem Liter Wasser bei 17.5 °C gemessen. Die Messung findet mit einem sogenannten Refraktometer statt. Ein Liter Most mit 76 °Oe hat ein Gewicht von 1.076 g/ml.


Diese Messung lässt sich auch mit einem 250 ml Messzylinder und einer Küchenwaage mit einer Ablesegenauigkeit von 0.1 g tariert nachstellen. Dazu den Messzylinder mit exakt 250 ml Most oder Wein befüllen und die Masse in g ablesen. Wenn z.B. eine Masse von 271,5 g angezeigt wird, ergibt sich folgende Dichte: 271,5 g geteilt durch 250 ml = 1,086 g/ml = 86 °Oe.
